I'm in my late 30's, slender, working toward athletic, not quite-weird-enough Austin transplant, about a decade and a half in the making. After being married for 12 years, a lot of consideration went into alternative lifestyles. That was 4 years ago. It was a few months ago that I actually proclaimed myself polyamorous. It's one part of the process of reinventing myself. I'm trying to stay out of my head, and live through my heart. Sometimes I'm more successful than others.

In June 2011 I put up a rather strange profile on an Internet dating site. And in July, a rather amazing guy contacted me ... from Australia. We Skyped for 6 weeks. He visited me in September--& never left. (We were married in February.) I'm proud of that profile! It made me think: maybe I could help others create profiles & find their partners too ...
